60 Per Cent Of Women Face Harassment On Social Media

The rate of crime against women in real and reel world is increasing day by day.

According to the latest reports by the United Nations, 35 per cent of women across the world have fallen prey to some sort of irrational activities in their lives. An organisation named Planet International conducted a study on crime against women on social media. The study revealed that close to 60 per cent of women were harassed on social media platforms or faced cybercrime. Studies also stated that online harassment causes serious mental and emotional stress among women. The latest study which surveyed more than 15,000 women aged between 15-25 revealed that 38 per cent of women were harassed on Facebook and 23 per cent women faced harassment on Instagram.

The rate of crime against women in real and reel world is increasing day by day. Several measures have been taken to safeguard women safety in both worlds but those just don’t seem to be enough.
