As if the Coronavirus crisis was not enough to deal with already, Bengal and Odisha were devastated by a terrible cyclone called Amphan last week. The biggest cyclone to happen in almost 200 years, Amphan tore its way through the states, uprooting ancient trees, destroying buildings, and leaving a trail of immense loss in its wake. As we come together to rebuild and recover from this, here are some of our favourite celebrities who have turned real-life heroes and come forward to help out.
Actor Swastika Mukherjee, who has starred in the ZEE5 Original film The Lovely Mrs Mookherjee, was safe in Mumbai at the time. However, she has demonstrated her support by contributing to and raising funds for those affected, with the help of her sister and brother-in-law. Follow this link for details:

Hello everyone ! Since I am stuck in Mumbai due to lockdown & not being able to do much in person, my sister @ajopamukherjee & brother in law @suvromon are trying their best to stand by people in need and supply them with basic amenities & essentials. They themselves were living without electricity & water for 70 hours but they are on the road to help the needy. PLEASE COME FORWARD & DONATE. Even 100 rupee matters. If you want to donate clothes, medical supplies, toiletries, masks, everything is welcome, you can call on the given number or email. I’ll keep updating all of you about the areas we are covering. Today they are going to Bashonti. #amphan #amphancyclone #disasterrelief #come and #help #rebuild #bengal #thankyou
