Remember the Kishore konthis of yore? The bunch of singers who used to copy the singing style of legendary singer, actor Kishore Kumar? This 2018 movie is about one of them. Rajat Ghosh, aka Kishore Kumar Junior (played by Prosenjit) is a singer who lives in Kolkata with his wife (played by Aparajita Auddy) and son and his band. He gets an invite to perform in the border villages in Rajasthan. When they reach, a group of Pakistanis kidnap them. Will KKJ manage to save his wife and band members? Watch the movie to find out.

2. Drishtikone

In this 2018 movie directed by Kaushik Ganguly, Prosenjit plays a lawyer who loses his eyesight. He leads a simple life with his wife Rumki (played by Churni Ganguly). He is given a case which is about the murder of Srimoti’s (played by Rituparna Chatterjee) husband Palash (played by Kaushik Sen). What happens in this thriller next in Drishtikone is what will keep you at the edge of your seat.

3. Mayurakshi

This 2017 drama directed by Atanu Ghosh is a tale of relationships. The movie has a brilliant cast with Prosenjit, Soumitra Chatterjee, Indrani Haldar, Sudiptaa Chakraborty and Gargi Roy Chowdhury. It is the story of Sushovan (Soumitra), an 84-year-old former professor and his son Aryanil (Prosenjit) who is settled in the US. As he visits his father who is suffering from age-related medical complications, Aryanil is confronted with old chapters and incidents which he had buried in the past. Watch the film here.

What happens when you meet the person you once loved and were married to suddenly on a train journey from Mumbai to Howrah? The superhit 2016 Bengali movie directed by Srijit Mukherji is the story of Ujaan (Prosenjit) and Sudipa (Rituparna Chatterjee). Apart from the favourite Prosenjit-Rituparna pairing, watch Praktan for some nostalgia and long-lost romance.

5. Force

This 2014 movie directed by Raja Chanda stars Prosenjit and Arpita Chatterjee. It is based on a father and son relationship. Prosenjit’s character Arjun is an encounter specialist who fights crime on a daily basis. He has lost his wife, so when he is not working, he takes care of his son who suffers from autism. 6. Shiva

Shiva is a throwback to the era of Bengali potboilers. The movie stars Prosenjit, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Biplab Chattopadhyay and others. It is the story of an honest police officer whose life is under threat from a criminal who wants to kill him.
