5 Sacrifices Made By Anupriya For Kalyani’s Wellbeing In Tujhse Hai Raabta

ZEE5’s hit show Tujhse Hai Raabta is a classic example of a pure and yet complicated mother-daughter relationship. Although Anupriya (Poorva Gokhale) is Kalyani’s (Reem Shaikh) step-mother, she has always provided for her and they have been each other’s emotional support.

Anupriya has only one thing in mind and that is her daughter’s happiness. Although she has been rather implicit in expressing her love for her daughter, Anupriya can do anything to ensure her daughter’s happiness. Let us take a look at five moments where Anupriya undertakes difficult tasks to ensure that her daughter remains protected.

In a recent episode, Anupriya saves Kalyani from becoming a hermitess and shaving her hair. Kalyani was ready to undertake this difficult step to get near her son Moksh, but Anupriya reasons out with her and does not intend on losing her daughter at such a tender age to a stern way of living.

In a tear-jerking moment, Anupriya hurts her foot which bleeds profusely. Nonetheless, when Vikram’s (Siddharth Sen) villainy of framing Malhar (Sehban Azim) and Kalyani on bed transpires, she rushes to Malhar’s house to alert them. Even after enduring such excruciating pain, she saves Kalyani from being defamed.

Anupriya is too naïve to understand Aau Saheb’s (Savita Prabhune) evil scheming. The latter has manipulated Anupriya into believing that there are flaws in her astrological chart. She makes her undergo difficult tasks which Anupriya does for the sake of Kalyani’s safety and happiness. She once walked from her old home all the way to their new home barefoot, in unbearable heat, with Lord Ganesha’s idol in her hand. Anupriya’s sentiment towards her daughter is worth appreciating.

On the day of Kalyani and Vikram’s engagement, while lighting the lamp for aarti, Malhar alerts Kalyani and Anupriya that their clothes were doused in nail polisher remover. Although Kalyani pushes her aai, she is severely injured and gets burn marks on her body. Anupriya again takes a vow to walk barefoot until her daughter recovers completely.

Anupriya thinks that she is unlucky for Kalyani and uses her anger as a measure to keep her daughter away from her. But she is always there to care for Kalyani. Aau Saheb tells her that they had not kept a puja at their new home and since Kalyani had rejected Vikram’s tender, he can take revenge. With the backing of his mother who is the textile minister, they could either get Kalyani dismissed or transferred. To stop this, Aau Saheb told Anupriya to make prasad for the puja and fast throughout the day and the latter readily agrees to do so.
