It is unusual for a television serial to run for five long years, and stay at the top of all charts. After the iconic situational-comedy show titled Amrutham, we believe Muddha Mandaram is the one to top it. Even a year after the show stopped telecasting, its characters continue to be remembered fondly. Amongst them, Akhilandeswari, played by Haritha, is one character from the show who left us with many life lessons to follow.

Always Smile!

For starters, Akhilandeswari approached every day, every problem and every enemy, with a smile on her face. The strength of her smile was often reflected in her outcomes. Not only does it make the problem seem smaller, but it also intimidates our enemies and hence, gives us an upper hand.

Stay Calm Even Through Sadness

Akhilandeswari has gone through many situations that demanded her to react in an outrageous manner. However, Akhila decided to take a deep breath and exhale her fear and stress. This allowed her to think more clearly and live each moment as it came.

Speak Out Your True Thoughts

Throughout the show, we saw her saying all sorts of things to herself, and to people around her. Akhila wasn’t the one to hold back her thoughts. She appreciated people as openly as she criticised them.

Use Your Powers Wisely

When you have the responsibility and authority, it is easy to ignore one for the other. However, Akhila always taught everyone that this should go hand in hand. When you have a certain authority, fulfilling your responsibility is the only way to truly use it.

Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve

People are often categorised as sturdy or sensitive for refusing to express themselves or for expressing themselves too often. But Akhila teaches us that labels will continue to exist. We must not confine ourselves to the labels and instead wear our hearts on our sleeves.
