We all know that only a few days are left for 2020 to get over and that this year has been exceptionally difficult for all of us, including the Bollywood industry. Following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on  June 14, 2020, a lot of issues such as nepotism, lack of movie offers, and most importantly drug scandals came to light in Bollywood. Reportedly, many big celebrity names got embroiled in this controversy, leaving the entire nation in shock.

The investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death unearthed a big drug racket in Bollywood that lead to the interrogation of many big celebrities such as Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Bharti Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and others. Even though in past there have been many times when the ‘drug angle’ has been probed in Bollywood, but the official investigation did not lead to anything concrete.

Soon after the drug racket in question was busted, actress Kangana Ranaut claimed that ‘99%’ of  the Bollywood stars consume narcotic drugs and in response to this, actress Raveena Tandon rebuffed her claim and  said that ‘This statement cannot be a generic description for all’, take a look at her tweet below:

Amidst all this, a report claimed that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been keeping a keen eye on many celebrities of Bollywood in connection to the drugs case. Even actor Akshay Kumar said that he agrees there is an underlying problem of drugs in Bollywood, but this does not mean that everyone in Bollywood is involved in the drug network.
