Unlock 5.0: Guidelines For Cinema Halls, Schools And Gatherings
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued new guidelines for re-opening of more activities as the nation enters the next phase of Coronavirus Unlock.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on Wednesday (September 30) came out with its latest set of relaxations for the Coronavirus lockdown guidelines, with some significant areas opening up. It issued new guidelines for re-opening of more activities as the nation enters the next phase of Coronavirus Unlock 5.0. According to MHA guidelines, cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes will be permitted to open with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity from October 15, 2020, in areas outside containment zones. However, an SOP will be issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for the same.
From October 15, cinemas, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment parks, and swimming pools used for training of sportspersons can open outside containment zones. Business to business exhibitions can open too. The other big aspect is that states and UTs are now allowed to move towards the reopening of schools from the same date. The restrictions on gatherings of people for social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious and political functions have been relaxed further. For outdoor spaces, the guidelines put no numeral cap.
