Two More Cars Linked To Sachin Vaze Recovered By The NIA
A Toyota Land Cruiser Prado seized by the central agency has been matched with the vehicle seen in a video from 26 February where Sachin Vaze is seen with murdered businessman Mansukh Hiren
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) seized another two cars, believed to be driven by former Mumbai inspector Sachin Vaze. The recovery of the crore worth Toyota Land Cruiser Prado could turn out to be a big breakthrough for the central agency, as previous footage of the vehicle from 26 February establishes Vaze’s connection with deceased businessman Mansukh Hiren, who was the owner of the explosives-laden Scorpio found outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence in south Mumbai. Another Mercedes linked to the suspended policeman has also been recovered as per reports.
The luxury car is the same vehicle which Hiren and Vaze were seen getting down from outside the Mumbai Crime Branch on 26 February, a day after the Antilia incident on 25 February. Further, the cop’s involvement in the high-profile case is validated by the claims made by Mansukh’s wife Vimala, who alleged that Vaze and her husband were together on 26 and 28 February and 2 March. Hiren was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the Thane Creek on 6 March. His widow also claimed that he left their home for the last time after he received a call from one Tawde, believed to be Shiv Sena corporator Dhananjay Tawde.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had called for the arrest of Tawde after the former furnished proof of Hiren’s last mobile location tracing very close to the politician’s office.
