New Delhi [India], August 6 (ANI): In order to ramp up COVID-19 vaccine supply in the country, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday met Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla in the national capital and held a discussion over the supply of Covishield vaccine.
New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner of the Serum Institute of India (SII) on Saturday said he it was good news that Covishield, the Indian version of the 16 European countries now recognised and accepted Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine for entry of international travellers.

New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): After US lifted embargo on the raw materials required to produce COVID-19 vaccine, Serum Institute of India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla credited US President Joe Biden and Externals Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for the "policy change", stating that this will hopefully increase supply of raw materials globally.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 31 (ANI): A man from Lucknow has filed a police complaint against Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla, ICMR director-general Dr Balram Bhargava and others on Tuesday alleging that no antibodies against COVID-19 were developed in his body despite being inoculated with a single dose of Covishield.
The SII CEO said that an emergency approval is awaited from the DGCI for the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine, post which India can start its COVID immunisation program by January 2021 and hope to come back to normalcy by October next year
