Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Cousin Neeraj Bablu Threatens Defamation Suit Against Sanjay Raut

The row over the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reached a new level, with his family now threatening to file a defamation suit against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. Sushant’s cousin, Neeraj Bablu who happens to be a BJP leader in Bihar, has demanded that Raut apologise while telling the media that he could file a defamation suit against him. Raut had earlier said that Sushant wasn’t on good terms with his father and had broken ties with him in the past.

Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14 and the Mumbai Police had ruled his death a suicide. The Mumbai Police has since been criticised for not handling the case properly. Raut has even defended the police force, saying it “does not bow down to pressure.” However, he also disapproved of their decision to not hold media briefings regularly, which he thinks led to them sensationalizing the issue.
