The Hurun Global Rich List for the year 2021 was published on Tuesday. According to the list, Mukesh Ambani has been ranked at the number 8 position. A report suggested that his net worth swelled to 83 billion dollars in the last year. The report also suggested that Ambani became the richest man in Asia after Zhong Shanshan lost 22 billion dollars earlier this week. Watch the news video below for more details.

As per the reports, many other Indians apart from Ambani made it to the Hurun Global Rich List in 2021. According to the reports, the Adani family ranked at 48 with a wealth of 2.34 lakh crore rupees. The Adanis were followed by Shiv Nadar and his family, who ranked at 58 with a net worth of Rs. 1.94 Lakh Crore. Laxmi Mittal came 104th with a wealth of Rs. 1.4 lakh crore. Cyrus Poonawalla of Serum Institute was at the 113th rank with 1.35 lakh crore rupees.

As per the reports, Tesla’s Elon Musk secured the first rank for the first time with a net worth of 197 billion dollars. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos came second, with 189 billion dollars of net worth. Other billionaires to make it to the top 5 are LVMH’s Bernard Arnault (114 billion dollars), Bill Gates (110 billion dollars), and Mark Zuckerberg (101 billion dollars).

As the reports suggest, 421 new people were added to the billionaire’s list in 2020. The average was 8 billionaires a week. The reports also claim that there are 209 billionaires in India, of which 177 are resident Indians. The rate at which India added billionaires was similar to that of the United States of America (50-69).
