Jyotiraditya Scindia Rejoices Victory In Madhya Pradesh By-Polls
The BJP leader spoke about his vision to work for the people of Madhya Pradesh, a cause that was irresponsibly handled during his Congress days under senior politicians Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh
It was a good day for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as it won by-poll elections across several states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Gujarat. Led by former Congress member Jyotiraditya Scindia in MP, the BJP scored 19 out of the 28 seats in the state.
Speaking to a channel exclusively, the Rajya Sabha member was very generous with bestowing credit on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the victory, rather than admitting his own prestige gain in the win.
Scindia openly criticized the previous Congress government under Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh. Calling it a corruption-led administration, the young leader cited that he did not want to be a bystander, which is why he chose to join the BJP. On being asked about his opinion of being called a traitor by some ex-party members, he made a scathing attack against Nath and Singh, calling them the only traitors of the state.
Referring to himself as a public servant rather than a politician, Scindia clarified that he has no pent up anger against any of his former colleagues and his only vision is to work for the betterment of the people.
While there is a buzz that he is eyeing a ministerial seat in the BJP, the former Lok Sabha member said that he is privileged to be a BJP worker. Further adding that he has no malice against anyone in the Gandhi-led political outfit, he claimed that his only focus is to work well for his current party, rather than being prescriptive to the Congress.
