Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, whose house was recently attacked during the Bengaluru violence, finally broke his silence. Expressing his views over the incident, he said that the police must take strict action against those behind the attack. When the Congress MLA was asked about who he thinks had planned the attack, he said, “Whoever it be. More than 2000 people attacked my house. Why did they attack my house? What have I done? He further conveyed a message to attackers to come and talk with him and sort the issue with the help of the police and media.

Sources say that Murthy’s house was attacked after his nephew posted an objectionable Facebook post that went viral in DJ Halli, and KJ Halli areas in Pulakeshinagar locality. The post insulted the prophet of a community. Considering the severity of the situation, Minister of Home Affairs Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai has announced a thorough probe.
