For years fans have wanted to know the reason behind the split between Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes. Thanks to Zee5’s Break Point, they know how it all panned out.

The seven-episode docu-series has piqued the curiosity of people across the board. For many, the hit tennis pair remind them of their childhood.

Popularly known as Lee-Hesh, the pair won 16 titles together and created history by entering the finals of four successive Grand Slams in 1999. They won the French Open and Wimbledon and went on to become the world No. 1. Their chest-bumps are remembered so fondly by their fans and tennis lovers in general. The release of this film has made many people nostalgic about their childhood. What led the hit pair to drift apart was never spoken about openly about the two sportsmen themselves? This led many to come up with conjectures. With Break Point, the curtain on the episode of their drift that deepened from 1996-2001, has been lifted.

In an interview to Republic World regarding Break Point, Leander Paes got emotional recalling his journey with Bhupathi. He revealed on the show that the docuseries helped in the healing process as the series helped him get his ‘younger brother’ back.

Directed by filmmaker couple Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, the web series started streaming on October 1.
