A Karnataka-based businessman named Srinivas Murthy immortalized his wife’s memory in the form of a life-size wax statue. A silicon mannequin was created which was installed when the Murthy family moved into their new home. Sitting on a sofa, the statue is adorned with a pink and gold saree and her face has a warm smile on it. The middle-aged woman also has flowers in her hair, reminding everyone how she must have looked. The family was shattered in 2017 when Murthy’s wife MVK Madhavi and two daughters met with an accident while on their way to Tirupati.

The two daughters sustained injuries from which they were able to recover. However, their mother lost her life on the spot. For Murthy and his wife, living in a bungalow was a lifelong dream. He had decided to get it constructed in her memory. Therefore, when they decided to move in this year, a fitting tribute was in the cards for her. It was his architect, Mahesh Rangannadavaru’s idea to make a statue to commemorate her in their ‘dream home.’
