Here’s the reason why Tollywood team breathes a sigh of relief and thanks CM Jagan Reddy

After such a long shutdown of movie halls due to the Covid 19 pandemic, it’s a pleasant day for the Tollywood film industry and fans who can now watch their favourite actors on the big screen. On Thursday, Tollywood representatives met with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the CM Office in Tadepalli to discuss a variety of concerns affecting the Telugu film industry.

The team that visited with the Chief Minister included superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, as well as film producers Preetham Reddy and Niranjan Reddy. To meet the Chief Minister, Nagarjuna and others flew in on a special jet. A lunch with the Chief Minister without any other notables, became a talking point.

According to insiders, Nagarjuna and Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed topics pertaining to the film industry, including important aspects such as the online ticketing system. The Tollywood team is said to have congratulated the Chief Minister for allowing four films per day in Andhra Pradesh and for allowing theatres to be completely full. The meeting lasted for more than two hours.  In the Telugu cinema business, Nagarjuna has always been upbeat about current issues such as internet ticketing and theatres, and these topics were covered during the discussion.

Others in the film industry, on the other hand, claim that Nagarjuna met Jagan for a personal matter.Though the reason for Nagarjuna’s unexpected meeting with the CM is unknown, everyone is aware of the state’s current ticket costs. Following Covid, the Andhra Pradesh government ordered a reduction in the price of movie tickets, which was not warmly greeted by theatre owners and other businessmen who rely on this industry.

Several other stars, including Chiranjeevi, as well as directors and producers, have addressed the matter and attempted to explain it to the state government but failed. Industry insiders are hoping that now that Nagarjuna has met with the CM, existing difficulties will be resolved in a better way.
