BJP Confirms Chirag Paswan’s Exclusion From Bihar NDA Alliance
Amidst the confusion of the final parties in the NDA Bihar elections alliance, Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed Chirag Paswan led Lok Janshakti Party’s exclusion from the BJP coalition
As the Bihar Assembly polls draw closer, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) President Chirag Paswan has seemingly created confusion in the state’s political matters. While declaring his loyalty to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on one hand, Chirag tweeted asking Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for an account of his achievements from the last five years, on the other hand. Kumar is the BJP’s face for their National Democratic Alliance(NDA) in the state.
Amidst the ongoing circus between the Janata Dal (United), LJP and the BJP, Union Home Minister Amit Shah clarified the final list of parties in the NDA alliance for Bihar. In an exclusive interview to a channel, Shah explicitly said that LJP is not a part of its coalition. Shah confirmed that the union is between four political parties in the state comprising the BJP, JD(U), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and the Vikassheel Insaan party (VIP).
While Chirag Paswan is clearly at the receiving end of this drama due to his antagonization of the current state chief minister, the opposition is making timely use of this opportunity. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav called out Nitish Kumar for his unfair treatment towards the young Dalit leader, especially considering that the LJP politician recently lost his father, the late Ram Vilas Paswan.
