A recent video of a suffering elephant has lately been a major topic of discussion on the internet as the video showcases how brutally some animals are treated in the country. This viral video showcases an elephant hopping on an empty road as both its forelegs have been chained together for unknown reasons. The video was shot at Thirunelveli in Tamil Nadu and is being shared and re-shared on various social media platforms as people believe that the matter needs attention as soon as possible. It has been sparking yet another debate on animal brutality and how the issue is not taken seriously despite its gravity. Some people have also been fighting to increase the penalty for animal abuse as the country has been witnessing an increase in the number of cases every day.

A recent video of a struggling elephant has been triggering a lot of outrage on social media. In the viral video, a few men could be seen torturing an elephant by restricting its movement through a few rusted chains. The giant animal is seen struggling to walk on its own as its caretakers have chained its forelegs, making it difficult for the animal to move in a normal manner. The elephant is seen hopping on the road while the chains cut through its skin. One of the men is also seen holding up a whip to make the elephant hop at a higher pace. The elephant is clearly struggling in the video but the bunch of men around the animal refuse to help or unchain the legs.

This video is currently being shared by a huge number of people as they want the forest department to intervene and rescue the animal. The video has also been sent to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, highlighting the concern. A few days back, another case of animal brutality had been brought to the limelight as an elephant was attacked with a burning tire as a few people were trying to shoo it away.
