Watch the latest episode of Aggabai Sunbai here:
1. Asawari and Abhijit
Aggabai Sunbai’s Asawari was once a widowed woman and a single mother. Her life upturned when she met Abhijit and fell in love with him. As they both were elderly, Asawari thought their union is impossible. However, they fought all the odds and got married. Cut to now, they are happy with each other and have the most perfect modern-day marriage. Asawari goes to work, Abhijit stays at home and manages household tasks!
2. Shubhra and Anurag
Marriage is supposed to bind you to one person forever right? But what happens, when your marriage becomes the sole reason for your downfall? Similar is the case of Aggabai Sunbai’s Shubhra. She got married to the wrong man, got hurt and cheated on by him. Then came along Anurag, who showed her a silver lining and taught her the value of life. It’ll be quite interesting to see their story unfold and we can’t wait to find out what the makers have in store for them.
From a twisted love triangle to a secret marriage, Pahile Na Me Tula has it all to make it an atypical romance. Samar, who is obsessed with his employee Manasi, would do anything to make her his. His obsession knows no bounds and he’s truly insane. Manasi, on the other hand, is in love with Aniket and was secretly married to him. Very recently, their secret has come out and it’ll be interesting to see how the show unfolds ahead.
4. Omkar and Sweetu
Omkar and Sweetu from Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla are like chalk and cheese, they’ve got nothing in common! While Omkar is rich, Sweetu is really poor and leads a very different life than him. But that’s not why their story is atypical. As it turns out, Sweetu is a chubby girl who has been body-shamed all her life. Omkar and Sweetu’s love story promotes body positivity and shows that love is not defined by wealth, ideal beauty or social status.
5. Malvika and Rocky
We may hate Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla’s Malvika for many reasons, but there’s one thing we love about her. She normalizes live-in relationships without getting married. Malvika and Rocky prove that a relationship does not need to be validated by marriage. What’s more important is love, companionship and understanding.
As you saw, none of these stories is cliched or typical in any way. They all have unique elements such as a live-in relationship, finding love after marriage or at an elderly age etc. Which one is your favourite? Do let us know.
