It is wrap for Kriti Sanon on the sets of Adipurush, a historical drama directed by Tanhaji Om Raut. The actress who plays the role ‘Janaki’ in the film took to Instagram to share pictures of the wrapping up celebrations of her character from the set of her upcoming film Adipurursh. Sanon wrote that her ‘heart sinks’ as she has to let go of this character that is very special to her and of which she is really proud of.
The three pictures posted by the Luka Chuppi actress have her with the director of the film Om Raut and they are seen cutting a cake that says ‘Film wrap for Janaki’ and the last one being a heartfelt from the director saying, “Dear Kriti, Today was the last day of our collaboration. God willing many more to come. Until next time!!!”.
The Adipurush actress goes on to praise the director Om Raut for his extraordinary vision with respect to the film and expresses gratitude for his belief in her. She also went on to state that she had a wonderful time shooting with her co-stars in the film, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh.
Prior to the post by the actress, the director of the film took to twitter to share photos from the film sets writing “Dear Kriti, it was magical watching you play Janaki. Can’t believe your part is wrapped up. What a lovely journey!”
The film is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Lankesh and Sunny Singh as Lakshman and is being produced by T-Series. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, and is expected to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
The big budget drama is expected to hit the theatres on August 11, 2022 world over. The technical team of the film includes cinematographer Kharthik Palani, editors Apurva Motiwale and Ashish Mhaatre, and composer combo Sachet-Parampara.
