This Monday, give yourself much-needed love through positive self-talk and take a step towards accepting yourself just the way you are with some inspiration from Meghana Lokesh.

If watching television shows keeps you entertained, we are sure you have heard of Meghana Lokesh. Popularity came to her with Zee Telugu shows like Kalyana Vaibhogam and Raktha SambandhamShe played the role of a bubbly Manga and her identical twin sister – arrogant Nithya. Now she has turned to play intense and an emotional role of Janaki and a smart, witty Tulasi. From time to time, this talented lady brings out many shades of her characters and surprises us each time. With so much talent she may wonder how well she takes care of herself. But in her own words, it has been a struggle!

Watch what’s happening in the latest episode of Kalyana Vaibhogam here:

People have always wished for a ‘perfect body’ which never seems to be perfect enough. Especially, the ones in the limelight and public eye tend to put extreme pressure on themselves to look a certain way. The talented Meghana succumbed to the same pressure. On social media, Meghana keeps her audiences, fans and followers entertained with many pictures and videos. Often, we see her in sarees and flowy dresses. Recently, she shared a very different picture and addressed an issue that had been keeping her away from loving herself wholly.

She wrote, “Yes, I have a curvy body and I don’t hate it anymore. I accept my body as it is! I meet a lot of people who comment about my body type and say it’s one of my drawbacks. It has affected me all these years and made me feel extremely bad about my body type, but their comments will not draw me back anymore! I can’t control people’s comments, but I can control my ‘self-talk’ & my thoughts. I’m working continuously on my health, my fitness and eating habits. That’s all that matters! ‘BODY SHAMING’ is not okay” [sic]
