Salman Khan is an Indian actor, entertainer, writer, singer, and producer. He is widely regarded as one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood and is one part of the Trio of Khans that have ruled the Hindi film industry for decades. He has gained a large following in the 90s as a Bollywood heartthrob with movies like Saajan and Pyar Kiya toh Darna Kya.
He later transitioned into a more alpha male personality in the early 2000s.
Khan has seen many career ups and downs, but he's been a constant force in the industry. You might love him or hate him, but you can't ignore him.
He is Salman Khan!
Despite his massive success as an actor and the family's legacy in Bollywood; Success came much later on for Salman Khan. He had an overall rough childhood as the family was going through hardships and financial difficulties. They were still free-spirited as individuals finding small ways to enjoy themselves.
Salman, largely hesitant and shy about his past, once shared a piece of personal memory where he talked about the times when his father bought them a 3000rs cycle when his salary itself was 1000rs at the time.
His humble early life beginnings taught him the value of hard work and dedication that he later used in his acting career.
Education has never been his strong quality as he's always been a person who's more into physical and artistic activities like cycling, football, painting, and acting. Don't let his lack of education prowess fool you, as he has an impeccable command of the English language.
He has acted in more than 100 roles for more than three decades in every genre, whether comedy, action, romance, or family drama; he's managed to make a considerable mark in the film industry. In return for their love, Khan has made the festival of Eid shine brighter for his fans by giving them eidi by ensuring that at least one of his movies release at this auspicious date.
Sallu has been part of some of the most iconic Bollywood movies like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Dil de Chuke hai Sanam, and Karan Arjun. However, Dabangg (2010) gained even more of a loyal fan following as the 2010s have been nothing but a smashing commercial success, with every movie earning 100 crore opening weekends.
He gained commercial success, but he also garnered critical acclaim for acting and producing movies.
You might see Khan as just a superstar, but he's also someone who has a big heart when it comes to supporting and guiding people around him. Arjun Kapoor, who is today a heartthrob, once used to weigh 140 Kg at 22!!. He then started working out with Salman Khan and followed the diet plan provided by him. By his admission, today, whatever he is due to the Khan's guidance. Salman has guided Hritik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and many talents of bollywood, and he will, however, continue inspiring.
Salman is a loyal friend to many in the industry, and he's always giving support to people he has his heart set for. When Govinda fell on hard times, Salman was one of the few willing to work with him in the movie Partner. He always gives the people around him the opportunities to come up on their own as an artist. When Bobby Deol searched for Race 3, Khan gave him a role as a supporting lead.
Salman Khan has a lot of bravado about him, but there's also a profoundly soft and personal side to him. In 2007 he founded the Being Human foundation with the sole intention of helping out underprivileged people by providing them with education, healthcare, and disaster relief needs. Some of the achievements they've had are:
Many might jump on his love life or specific controversial chapters of his journey. People often tend to overlook his more positive aspects and generosity as a human. He is known for his Dabangi, but a little bit of Prem is lost in translation.
