Akshay Kumar To Shoot With 200 Artists For The Final Schedule Of Bachchan Pandey

Since the unlocking began in Majarashtra, many Covid-19 restrictions were eased. Following this, the shoot of unfinished and delayed projects resumed in full swing. And Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’ is one of them. Currently, the project has reached its final stage in terms of filming. And now, a report states that the team recently shot a sequence with 200 artists at a multiplex in Mumbai. While makers were avoiding frenzy on sets, the shoot was wrapped following all necessary Covid norms. 

In this last segment, the makers required 200 artists to shoot for an important sequence of the film. Following the precautionary measures, the shortlisted artists were tested for Covid-19. Upon testing negative, these 200 junior actors were quarantined in a bio-bubble. And following a second Covid test, the artists amassed at the sets for a three-day schedule in Andheri, Mumbai. While Arshad Warsi and Kriti Sanon finished their parts on Wednesday, Akshay will be completing his portion on Friday.

Upon completion of this special sequence, the shoot of Bachchan Pandey will be wrapped up. Earlier last month, the team shot in different parts of the Thane district. Though being delayed due to the Covid crisis, the film has recovered well shooting major portions amid the pandemic.

Bachchan Pandey is being helmed by Farhad Samji and is made under the banner of Sajid Nadiadwala films. Being an action-comedy, the film is said to be the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster Jigarthanda. Wherein Akshay will be seen playing the role of a gangster while Kriti will portray the character of a journalist.

Also, the film features Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi, and Riteish Deshmukh in pivotal roles. And this aspect of the ensemble cast has also been a major highlight of this project.

In terms of release, the film was rescheduled twice. And now, the makers have locked the Republic Day release for Bachchan Pandey. The film is slated to hit the big screens on  January 26, 2022.
