Before performing in Telugu and Tamil films, she made her acting debut at the age of 15 in the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra and in the Abhijeet Sawant album song “Lafzon main” from the album Aapka Abhijeet, both of which were released in 2005. Tamannaah made her Telugu cinema debut with Sri the same year, and her first Tamil film, Kedi, the following year. In 2007, she acted in two Telugu drama films, Happy Days and Kalloori, appearing as a college student in both.
