Sidharth was asked how difficult it was to shoot in a place like Kargil. In response, he said, “It was very difficult..not just for the actors but for the crew as well..” He explained that the terrain of Kargil made it very hard for them to shoot. With inclined planes and due to lack of oxygen, it was very difficult to shoot an action sequence there. He also mentioned that this is probably the first Hindi film ever to be shot in actual Kargil.
While talking about the location, he said that that there wasn’t a lot of greenery there. The place was a bit barren and the stone there were quite sharp. Despite the difficult terrain, the entire team worked really hard to get the scenes right.
While talking about the most difficult scenes to shoot, Sidharth said, “I think the first 3-4 days when we were shooting climax..’ He further added that due to being at a height of 12 thousand to 14 thousand ft, he used to experience breathlessness while delivering dialogues. However, the team used this to their advantage in making it as accurate and authentic as possible to real-life events.
Sidharth also shared that the entire team underwent training from army personnel before shooting the film. “we did drills, practiced their etiquettes, body postures, body language, weaponry training…” he said.
He even took to social media to thank the entire team of Shershaah. He wrote, “Much love and power to the entire team of Shershaah who put in the sweat & tears to make this special film even more special and rewarding for us..’
