Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has alleged that she received several death threats after her tweet comparing Mumbai to PoK.

Amid the war of words between the Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Kangana Ranaut, the actor has been given Y category security by the central government on Tuesday (September 8). Ranaut has alleged that she received several death threats after her tweet of comparing Mumbai to PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir). After the incident, Raut called Ranaut “haramkhor ladki.” In an exclusive interview with a leading news channel, Raut explained the real meaning of haramkhor and told reporters that “anybody who lives and works here and speaks ill of Mumbai, Maharashtra and Marathi people, I would say apologise first.”

After his comment added fuel to the controversy, he said that if Kangana Ranaut apologises to Maharashtra for her “Mumbai feels like PoK” remark, then he can think about apologising to her for his statement. “If that girl (Ranaut) will apologise to Maharashtra, then I will think about it (apology). She calls Mumbai a mini Pakistan. Does she have the courage to say the same about Ahmedabad?” he asked. His remark on the Bollywood personality drew a lot of criticism online.
