From being called hippy and too bold, Bipasha Basu was given a lot of advice because of her dusky complexion. Basu made her acting debut in 2001 with the multi-starrer Ajnabee, directed by Abbas–Mustan. The actress got in touch with a leading publication and mentioned that it was back then when she had met her first hairstylist, Kaushal, who basically taught her what were the rules of being a heroine at that point in time. And they were quite funny and hilarious to the actress, she quipped, adding that as an actress, she apparently had to hide in those days. But she was very different.
Bipasha Basu felt that the bohemian tag came to me very fast because her choices of roles were very different, her presence was very unique. The actress did not look like the quintessential, fair, petite, timid girl. Instead, she looked quite feisty, fiery, and sexy.
The 42-year-old actress doesn’t mind the ”sexy” tag and confirmed it herself. Today, being called sexy is normal but back then when being called sexy was questioned, the actress didn’t mind and she was never afraid to speak her mind.
The actress is happily married to Karan Singh Grover since 2016 and the duo is extremely hot together. The couple has also worked together in various advertisements and films like Alone which was released in 2015.
