Sex and the City actor Willie Garson passes away at 57

Willie Garson who played the character of Stanford Blatch in the popular series and movies ‘Sex and the City’ passed away on Wednesday. As the news spread, condolences poured in for the White Collar actor. Willie Garson was a popular actor working in more than 300 TV episodes and acted in more than 75 films.
Willie Garson’s son Nathen confirmed the actor passing away on Instagram. ‘I love you so much papa. Rest in Peace and I’m glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I’m so proud of you’, the grief-stricken Nathen wrote in detail.
Willie Garson’s last tweet on September 5 is quite moving. Be Kind to Each Other Always, the actor had written. He was reportedly battling cancer and succumbed to it. Willie played the role of BFF (best friends forever) for the character Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City franchise. Sarah Jessica Parker played the role of Carrie Bradshaw in the series that ran for six years. Willie was loved by the fans and the role he played Stanford Blatch.
His fellow workers and fans started expressing their grief by posting his pictures and popular one-liner dialogues from the number of TV series he acted on. ‘The world is a lot less funnier today as we say goodbye to our Stanny’ mourned a fan. Many fans dug out his old TV series and films and posted his pictures just to show how versatile an actor he was.

American actor French Stewart, expressing his grief, recalled how they used to chat in the casting rooms. Willy was a lovely man, he commented and added that they were born on the same day and he would miss him.
Garson appeared in a total of 27 episodes of the six seasons of Sex and the City. Willie Garson will be last seen in Sex and the City reboot sequel ‘And just like that’. The release date is yet to be announced for this 10-episodes series.
