Kane Williamson recently opened up about being the number one Test batsman in the world and how he looks at the achievement. He said, “In terms of these rankings, they are not a focus of mine. I know how fickle they can be. Much like test rankings as a team and opportunity to play finals. You know we are sitting here now and perhaps we have a ranking but they can quite quickly change from other teams playing the cricket that they play. It is not a focus and I guess you get more satisfaction from just trying to contribute to a team that you really enjoy playing for and I think that is the main thing.” Williamson further added that there are things to improve on and they have been working to get better.
