Daniel Craig has hit the headlines with his performance in No Time To Die and for his recent style statement of a raspberry velvet coat. The actor is now in the news for receiving an honour from Hollywood

“James Bond” star Daniel Craig has another achievement to his name. He will receive the 2704th star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony to be held on October 6. The British actor’s star will be placed next to the star of Roger Moore, a former Bond actor. Moore’s star is placed at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard. After Moore, David Niven and Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig is the fourth James Bond actor to receive the honour.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a statement said: “Daniel Craig a British cultural icon, as is James Bond, the man he has portrayed in five 007 films. We are thrilled to place his terrazzo Walk of Fame star next to the star of another famed actor who also portrayed James Bond, Roger Moore.”

“Fans will be thrilled when they see that their stars are appropriately located at 7007 Hollywood Boulevard,” Martinez added.

Daniel Craig’s performance in No Time To Die, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Fukunaga and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is being considered as one of his best performances. The film was released in India on September 30.

In No Time to Die, which will premiere in Los Angeles on October 8, Daniel Craig plays James Bond, who has retired from M16 is given a mission by the CIA to rescue a kidnapped scientist.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame event will be hosted by Nicole Mihalka, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce chair. Rami Malek, who also features in No Time To Die, and the film’s producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will give a speech at the Walk of Fame event.

Even as No Time To Die received good reviews, the raspberry velvet coat Daniel Craig wore at the Red Carpet for the world premiere of the film at Royal Albert Hall this week got a mixed response, with some liking the look while others not appreciating it.

No Time To Die is Daniel Craig’s fifth and last James Bond film. He will next perform in the sequel of the 2019 Rian Johnson-directed film, Knives Out.
