Brangelina legal drama intensifies, as Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie of cutting him off a deal

In a fresh turn of events surrounding the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt lawsuit, the new development comes from a comment made by Brad Pitt. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor recently blamed his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for being ‘vindictive’. And now Brad Pitt’s company, Mondo Bongo, has filed a new lawsuit against Angelina Jolie.

The lawsuit

Brad Pitt’s company in their lawsuit has accused the Maleficent actress of “systematic obstruction”. According to reports, the lawsuit alleges that Angelina Jolie tried to cut Brad Pitt out of an expensive deal on Chateau Miraval, their French estate and winery. The deal was to sell her shares of their joint property worth $164million in France.

According to reports obtained by a news portal, the former couple had decided to split the mansion and vineyard. Brad Pitt holds 60 percent of the shares and Angelina the remaining. Seemingly, their divorce has turned complicated. The lawsuit has charged Angelina Jolie for trying to sell her shares and depriving Brad of his “right of first refusal and profit”. Brad Pitt claimed that he put an enormous amount of time, work, and money onto the estate.

Brad Pitt also accused her of being guilty of “systemic obstruction”. The lawsuit states that for the last four years, Angelina Jolie’s company Nouvel did not act in the best interest of Quimicum. This was done by delaying the approval of the annual accounts and the renewal of the manager.

About the property

The company Quimicum owns the estate in France, reportedly. It is partly owned by Brad Pitt through his company Mondo Bongo and by Angelina Jolie through her company Nouvel. It is situated in Correns, France. The vineyard is called Chateau Miraval and fans may recall that this is the same place where the couple got married back in 2014.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce got finalised in 2019. Yet they are still battling a nasty custody battle regarding their children. In a recent interview, Jolie spoke out her wish for her family to heal. She also said that she lived in fear for her children’s safety during the marriage. She added that it took her a lot of courage to separate from the father of her children.
