Suniel Shetty disclosed to his son Ahan Shetty’s debut film Tadap director that his father began life in a small canteen in the same cinema where the film was shot with Tara Sutaria

Suniel Shetty told Tadap director Milan Luthria that his father, Veerapa Shetty started his life in a small canteen in the same cinema where Ahan Shetty’s film has been shot. Milan recalled an incident in which Suniel became emotional and shared the memory with him in a new interview. During the conversation, Milan Luthria stated that the location chosen for Tadap was South Bombay’s Central Plaza. Tara Sutaria, an actor, will also appear in the film alongside Ahan. It is set to be released next month.

Milan recently stated in an interview that Suniel became emotional on the first day of Tadap. The Tadap director recalled that the production was looking for a location in Mumbai. Because Ahan’s character owned a cinema in Mussoorie, the Tadap team wanted to recreate it in Mumbai.

Milan added that they were filming there on the first day. Suniel and his wife (Mana Shetty) stopped by to wish them well. And he (Suniel) was overwhelmed with emotion. He took him aside and told him that his father (Veerapa Shetty) had started his career in the same cinema’s small canteen. And he said that he doesn’t know whether it’s destiny or not, that he is watching from above, that of all the places, he chose this particular place where he used to come as a child and have his lunch and help his father, without even telling him.

Tadap, a remake of the 2018 Telugu romantic-action drama RX 100, marks Ahan Shetty’s Bollywood debut. Sajid Nadiadwala, who worked with Suniel Shetty on the 1993 romantic action comedy Waqt Hamara Hai, produces the film.

Ahan Shetty recently recounted in an interview how he landed his first film solely based on merit. He claimed to have been training for several years. He would meet producers and directors on set because they were friends and colleagues of his father, but that didn’t mean he would get a break from them. He went on to say that he wouldn’t say it was easy. Sajid sir witnessed his action and dance videos and called him, asking him to send him some audition tapes. Essentially, his getting this film had nothing to do with his father being an actor. Because of his talent, he was cast in the film.
