Shah Rukh Khan MOBBED By Journalists Outside Arthur Road Jail After Meeting Aryan Khan; Hansal Mehta, Sonu Sood Condemn The Act

It’s been quite some time since Shah Rukh Khan’s Aryan Khan is in jail following his arrest in a drug case. Early this month, Shah Rukh Khan’s son along with Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and 5 others. However recently, Aryan Khan was rejected bail for the third time by Mumbai NDPS court. This morning, Shah Rukh Khan was snapped arriving at the Arthur road jail to meet his elder son Aryan Khan. The superstar was seen opting for grey half sleeves t-shirt paired with blue denim. The actor had his hair pulled back in a small pony. But what has got everyone talking about is the media’s behavior outside the Arthur road jail.

A day after Aryan Khan was rejected bail in the drugs case, his father and superstar Shah Rukh Khan were seen arriving at the jail. After their 15-minute long meeting, SRK was seen leaving the jail premises and making his way towards the car. However, everyone was shocked to see the media’s behavior towards SRK while he was approaching his car. Shah Rukh Khan got badly mobbed by the journalists, who were standing outside the jail, to get his glimpses and his reaction to his son’s arrest case. Soon after the video surfaced on the internet, his industry friends like filmmaker Hansal Mehta and Sonu Sood took to their social media to slam the media for their unruly actions.

Sonu Sood wrote in Hindi, “Kisi ki bhavnao ke peeche camera lekar daudne se phele yaad rakhna, ishwar ka camera aap par focus laagaye baitha hai. Kyuki har baar khabar khabar nahi hoti. (Before running behind someone with your cameras, you must remember that even God has its camera focused on you. Because everything is not meant for headlines.)”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta also wrote about the concern of a father becoming a matter of public consumption for heartless abuse and ruthless judgment. He further said that he doesn’t appreciate the term Bollywood and people connected to it are a favorite punching bag and diversionary vehicle for a few divisive, abusive, and inefficient set of some cowardly invisible people.

Being a celebrity, being a star, being from ‘Bollywood’ means your emotion, your torment and your concern as a father become a matter of public consumption, heartless abuse and ruthless judgement.

I don’t know or have never appreciated the term Bollywood. What I do know is that this term and the individuals connected to it are a favourite punching pag and diversionary vehicle for a few divisive, abusive and inefficient set of some cowardly invisible people.

Meanwhile, the hearing of Aryan Khan’s bail plea along with Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaz Merchantt has now been scheduled for October 26.
