When the superstars in Tollywood and Bollywood join together, the producers are bound to be put under a lot of strain. In this regard, in the upcoming movie Godfather, Bollywood actor Salman Khan would shake a leg with Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi for the first time. The music director, S Thaman on the other hand is undecided about which language to employ for the song.

S Thaman’s schedule is jam-packed with music for films like Bheemla Nayak, Sarkari Vaari Paata, Akhanda, and megastar Chiranjeevi’s next flick Godfather, among many others. In response to speculations that American singer Britney Spears will perform in the film, he claims talks are still ongoing and nothing has been finalised. Thaman has a long list of chart-topping hits to his name. From Allu Arjun’s Buttobama in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo to the title track of Aagadu, he has remained one of the most in-demand musicians. He made his Bollywood debut in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again, then went on to star in Simmba. Thaman is overjoyed that he was posthumously given the Padma Vibhushan on Monday, after 26 years of collaboration with late great singer SP Balasubramahmaniyan. Nobody celebrated Bala garu as Illayraja and A R Rahman Garu did. Others did as well, but he felt these two did it the best. He misses him terribly. He was overcome with emotion as he watched Charan take the award, and tears welled up in his eyes.

The audience reacted positively to Thaman’s most recent single, the title song for the upcoming film ‘Akhanda,’ starring Nandamuri Balakrishna.
