Kriti Sanon Rings In Her 31st Birthday With The Pre-Release Of ‘Mimi’, Fans Are Delighted

Ever since her acting debut in 2014, Kriti Sanon has been one of the most loved Gen-Y stars of current times. While many of her films went on to be mainstream hits, a few others thoroughly defined her acting chops. Quite successfully, Kriti has created a niche for herself in Bollywood by essaying small-town characters with great aplomb. And similarly, the actor’s latest release ‘Mimi’ marked yet another notable performance with an aplenty dose of entertainment. 

Moreover, the film ‘Mimi’ had a surprise pre-release on the eve of Kriti Sanon’s birthday. The actor turned 31 and celebrated her birthday bash with the team of Mimi. Director Laxman Utekar and other members of the crew joined in for the double celebrations. For those unaware, ‘Mimi’ premiered on Netflix and Jio Cinema on July 26, a few hours before Kriti’s birthday party begun. The actor had shared an inside video from the celebrations while also informing fans about the film’s release.

“Mimi went into labour early! Our baby couldn’t wait to see you all!!!” Kriti captioned her post. Fans were delighted with the news and within no time, Mimi became the buzz of the entertainment world. As of now, the film is receiving a great response from the masses.

Talking about the early release of Mimi, the makers had planned to have the film’s premiere on July 30. However, many reports state that the 4K print copies of Mimi were leaked online. And thus, the makers and the team hastily opted for a pre-release. Though there’s no acknowledgment of the same from the team, several reports have been doing rounds.

Despite being leaked online, the film is performing well on streaming platforms. While audiences are showering Kriti’s performance with rave reviews, many of them have also appreciated the concept.

The film Mimi revolves around the story of a young woman who agrees to be a surrogate mother in order to fund her Bollywood dream. For those unversed, the film is an official remake of the 2010 Marathi film ‘Mala Aai Vahhaychy!’ directed by Samruddhi Porey.
