People in rural area have very little access to the facilities and perks provided by the government. Along with less awareness, they are also less knowledgeable about the symptoms and the conditions related to the Covid-19. The cases have started increasing in the rural areas of India and keeping that in mind Akshay Kumar has donated testing vans for RT-PCR tests. Now, these vans will be available in the rural areas and people can get their tests done without going to the nearest testing centre in Maharashtra. This will also help in decreasing the crowd and the pressure on the labs that are equipped to conduct tests for the coronavirus.
Dr Archana Patil tweeted about Akshay’s contribution of the vans and wrote, “Hands that help are holier than lips that pray! Big thank you to @akshaykumar.” Akshay replied to Dr Archana and wrote, “Glad I could contribute in a small way, @patilarchana ji. Hope these mobile testing vans help people in rural areas with early detection and treatment. Stay safe, God bless”. Previously, Akshay along with his wife Twinkle Khanna donated 100 oxygen concentrators during the shortage of oxygen in hospital in India. The couple was praised for their contribution by the citizens.
