Set in the British colonial era, this is the story of Manikarnika, a young girl who goes on to become Queen Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The story captures the trials and tribulations of her life, including her many fights against the British to free India from their rule. Her courage, determination and sacrifice for her motherland set an example for many revolutionaries who went on to help India become an independent nation.
