J&K DGP Dilbagh Singh Reveals Details Of Active Terror Camps In PoK
The senior IPS officer said that Pakistan occupied Kashmir houses multiple terror camps that send infiltrators across the border to J&K with the Pakistani army and ISI’s assistance
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh revealed that there are terrorist camps active in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). This is not the first instance when the senior official has confirmed this news. Prior to this in May, he had spoken about the presence of around 300 militants in launch pads across the Line of Control (LOC), waiting to transgress to the Indian side. He had also stated that the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies play a major role in helping the infiltrators to cross into J&K.
Meanwhile, sources said that on Sunday, Pakistani troops carried out unprovoked shelling and firing on two forward posts along the LoC in the Poonch and Kathua districts in the union territory. The Indian security forces also retaliated to the attack in a befitting way. No casualties were reported from either sides.
Before that on Saturday, the rival side troops opened fire in the Pansar border outpost area in Hiranagar. This led to a cross-border exchange of gun shots between Pakistan and the Border Security Force (BSF) that continued into the wee hours until Sunday early morning.
