From Bombay Velvet To Zero- List Of Anushka Sharma’s Movies That Boomed At The Box-office
Anushka Sharma is a highly talented actor and producer. She has come on her terms in Bollywood, but there were times when the actress failed to create magic on screen
Anushka Sharma is a beautiful actress who has charmed our hearts since her debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She is also a producer with her own production house, Clean Slate films and now is among the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. But did you know that she had her fair share of flop films in her career? While some were nad choice of scripts, some were universally recognised as a flop film. Here are some–
This film was Anushka’s first film with Anurag Kashyap. The storyline was good and had performances by Ranbir and Anushka. The audience didn’t like the movie because the story was too modern and of a different era altogether. It only made 43 Crores on a 120 Crore budget. It was a huge loss, and some people gave really bad ratings to the film. The film didn’t create any magic on screen.
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola
This Cringey film directed by Vishal Bharadwaj was another flop. With its 45 crore budget, it only finally managed to collect 31 crores somehow. The film’s story was a bit blurry, with several characters just being there for a scene. Although Anushka performed well, the audience couldn’t digest the movie properly. The film had great promotions but failed to create a spark in its fans’ hearts.
Zero was a very overhyped film because the Yash Raj Banner backed it. The film was quite interesting in the first half, but the second half was maddening and deafened the story, and people reportedly started leaving the theatre due to the dull story. Anushka Sharma’s third flop was directed by Aanand L. Rai and had a huge loss. But that’s not all; the audience too wrote the movie off, and became a certified flop. The film was played worldwide and still failed to earn anything else from criticism.
Regardless of her flops, Anushka has also given great hits with noteworthy performances.
