Covid-19: The Process Of Unlocking Begins In Some States, Restrictons To Remain Intact In Many Others
While a few states have begun the process of unlocking, other states such as Maharashtra, Haryana, Odisha, Telangana, Sikkim, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Goa have extended their lockdown.
Amid the second wave of coronavirus, many states were placed under lockdown to curb the virus. Now that the cases are reportedly decreasing, many states have begun the process of unlockown. In the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, things are seemingly returning back to normal. However, a few states such as Maharashtra, Haryana, Odisha, Telangana, Sikkim, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa have extended their lockdowns.

As per the reports, only 64 districts in Uttar Pradesh have been given some relaxation, while other districts are still under lockdown. In Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, the process of unlocking began on May 31. Even though cases were initially decreasing after the lockdown was lifted, they suddenly increased by 5000 on Thursday. In Delhi, a few relaxations have been given, but the lockdown has not been lifted totally. It will be effective till June 7, as of now.

In Rajasthan, the process of unlockdown began on Thursday. Even in this state, it will be a step by step unlockdown. In Jaipur and other cities, the markets will be open four days a week, from 5 am to 12 noon. In Mumbai however, the cases are still on a rise.
Here’s how unlockdown will look like in different places
In Delhi, the curfew will extent till June 7, however, factory and construction sites are allowed to open. In Haryana, the curfew has been extended for another week. However, essential shops will be allowed to open following the odd-even rule. As for Kerala, the lockdown will be effective till June 9, however banks, factories and shops will be allowed to open. In Maharashtra, the lockdown will be in place till June 15, however, a few relaxations will be given in places where cases are decreasing. In Punjab, the lockdown has been extended till June 1 whereas, in Tamil Nadu, it has been extended till June 7.
n Goa, the lockdown has been extended till June 7. However, essential shops and restaurants are allowed to open with regulations. In Madhya Pradesh, the process of unlockdown began on Thursday. In Himachal Pradesh, the lockdown has been extended till June 7 but offices will be allowed to open in a lesser capacity. The duration for which shops can remain open has also been extended in the state. Gujarat, which was placed under partial lockdown will see a night curfew in 36 cities. However, the duration of the curfew has been decreased.
