PERMANENT ROOMMATES – COMEDY – ROMANCE

This TVF offering that first aired in 2014 is spread over two seasons and packs humour in 12 power-packed episodes. It is the story of Mikesh (Sumeet Vyas) and Tanya Nagpal (Nidhi Singh) who face trials and tribulations about their marriage after being in a long-distance relationship for three years.

Sumeet Vyas as Chandan is again the familiar face in this TVF presentation that features Maanvi Gagroo as Chanchal and Amol Parashar as Chitvan in the 2016 comedy. Sapno Ki Theory, Life Ke Practicals says the tagline of this 2018 entertainer that too is spread over two seasons and runs into 10 episodes. Barkha Singh (Sabu), Kritika Avasthi (Maggu) and Sejal Kumar (Kiara) take us on the (mis)adventures of the engineering trio who are back for their final year in college.

INMATES – DRAMA – COMEDY

Again a reflection of the muddle that the millennials face in their relationships, this 2017 flick over five episodes takes one through what five friends in their 20s face in their relationships. All this action unfolds as they live under one roof. Watch out for Mukti Mohan (Kay), Akanksha Thakur (Richa) and Raghav Raj Kakker (Rahul) run this relationship maze.

THE AAM AADMI FAMILY – DRAMA – COMEDY

The title has a political overtone to it. But getting into the three seasons of this 2016 rib-tickler over 17 episodes will give you the feeling that this is a story from your backyard. The typical Sharma family with a middle-class father, a mother, energetic son, adorable daughter and an overbearing grandmother will have you asking for more. Lubna Salim (Mrs Madhu Sharma), Gunjan Malhotra (Sonu) and Chandan Anand (Bobby) hold fort.

AWKWARD CONVERSATIONS WITH PARENTS – COMEDY

This 2018 offering could be straight from the living room of any teenager who is trying to find himself and ends up in a mess with his parents. Ishaan (Ritvik Sahore) is this character in ACWP who strives to overcome the countless oopsie moments he has to face in growing up. Loveleen Misra as the mother, Shubhrajyoti Barat as the father and Ahsaas Channa as Tanvi are enough to add to Ishaan’s confusion.

TECH CONVERSATIONS WITH MY DAD – DRAMA COMEDY

Aired in 2021, the reel life situation is practical that most households face of late. With technology ruling the roost, TCWMYD revolves about the ability or rather the lack of it on the part of two sons or the GenNext trying to explain how the digital world functions to their dads played by Gajraj Rao and Kumud Mishra. Babuji, kuch samaj mein aaya?

HUMOROUSLY YOURS – DRAMA – COMEDY

With a third season in the offing, HY explores what Vipul Goyal playing himself faces in his journey as a standup comedian, both on and off the stage.
