This is what the court remarked on Samantha’s defamation case

There has been a lot of chatter and speculations around the divorce of the Telugu super stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chanakya Akkineni even before the couple gave out a formal announcement about it. The divorce has been receiving a lot of media attention and many theories have been constantly surfacing almost every day, mostly against Samantha, by several media outlets and newspapers. Samantha recently filed defamation cases against several YouTube channels who have been presenting content that can malign her image in public.

According to recent reports the Kukatpally court in Hyderabad, where the said case is filed, has went on to comment on the case and it is not something that can be said to be in favour of the actress.

The court stated that Samantha can seek an apology from the owners of the concerned YouTube channels, persons, and media outlets rather than bringing defamation lawsuits. According to reports the court further went on to express its displeasure on the concerned subject and stated “Celebrities share the details about their personal lives in public domain and they then file defamation suits.”

However, Samantha’s lawyer pleaded with the court to hear the case right away. The additional district judge, who appeared irritated by the lawyer’s request, stated that the plea will be heard at the appropriate time and that everyone is equal before the law in court. The judge went on to further say “There is no distinction between those who are lofty and those who are low. We will hear your (Samantha) case as per protocol.”

Samantha responded to the rumours by issuing a statement in which she stated that such false allegations about her having an affair, having abortions, and not wanting children are extremely difficult for her and also emotionally taxing. She requested everyone to give her time to recover from her divorce.
