Shruti Haasan has been one of the most prominent actresses of the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industries. Making her debut as a child artist in her father, Kamal Haasan‘s film in 2000, she made her debut as the leading lady in 2009 in Bollywood. Shruti Haasan began her acting career as the leading actress with the 2009 Hindi film Luck, starring opposite Imran Khan. She then also began her career in the Telugu and Tamil industries. Her first role in a Tamil movie was in 7aum Arivu, opposite Suriya. The film was dubbed in Hindi as Chennai Vs China. Shruti Haasan gave a brilliant performance in her debut Tamil movie and became a favourite among the masses. It also earned her a Filmfare nomination for the Best Female Debut in South.

After seeing her as the bubbly girl in Behen Hogi Teri, her role in Yaara showed a different side of hers, indicating her versatility.
Shruti Haasan recently starred in a crime drama, The Power, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Shruti Haasan’s character in The Power, Parveen, had a lot of depth. She was initially a happy girl, who was in love with her childhood friend and looked forward to a happy future. However, a tragic event led her to become a strong-willed and grim woman, who was not going to falter for a second to kill the person she loved, for her vendetta.
