Jammu And Kashmir Encounter: Two Terrorists Killed, Three CRPF Soldiers Injured

Three CRPF personnel were injured in an encounter in Malhoora, while one Pakistani terrorist, and the top commander of LeT Nadeem Abrar were shot down by the forces.

Nadeem Abrar, the top commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was recently arrested by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. Following interrogation, the militant was leading the forces to his hideout in Malhoora Parimpora in Srinagar. That’s when a gunshot was fired and started a gunfight. According to the latest developments, Abrar and another terrorist were killed in the encounter while three CRPF soldiers were injured.

A “big success” for the CRPF

On Monday, the Kashmir Zone Police announced the arrest of Top LeT commander Nadeem Abrar at the Parimpora Naka. This happened when Abrar was trying to use a grenade and the security forces quickly jumped into action. Abrar was involved in several attacks and killings of security forces as well as civilians in J&K making this a “big success”. After the arrest, Abrar was interrogated, which led to him taking the CRPF officers to his hideout in Malhoora.

Encounter in J&K

Once they were near the sight, a gunshot was fired by one of Abrar’s accomplices. This ensued a gunfight between the CRPF and the terrorists. The security forces immediately cleared the scenes sending civilians out of danger. Three CRPF personnel including an assistant commandant, a sub-inspector, and a constable were injured in this gunfight. However, Abrar and the said terrorist were also gunned down.

Later on Tuesday early morning, it was announced that the Pakistani terrorist and Abrar were killed. Meanwhile, it was said that the security forces recovered “incriminating materials along with arms & ammunition” from the site. Further investigation is going on in the matter, while the injured soldiers are recovering.
