IPL 2021: Virat Kohli And AB deVilliers Set To Have A Fun Face-off

It looks like cricketers and RCB teammates AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli will be racing each other to find out who is the fastest between the wickets soon.

Various sportspersons from across the globe, hailing from different regions and nations, have often displayed beautiful friendships with each other. One such well-known duo consists of the popular Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and the innovative South African cricketer AB de Villiers. And the duo is all set to have an exciting and healthy face-off with one another on the practising field very soon.

IPL 2021 is ready to commence in a span of just 10 more days and will see Mumbai Indians play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of the series. The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) consists of two exceptional players, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, who are also really good friends. And it looks like the duo is soon going to indulge in a tough face-off against each other on the cricket pitch.

Virat Kohli, who played in the England vs India T20I 5-match series recently, has made a brief return home after its completion. It is being believed that the player will head to his IPL 2021 team’s camp in a few days, approximately on April 1 or April 2, 2021. Meanwhile, when he shared a video of him prepping for the upcoming IPL 2021 games, teammate AB de Villiers reacted to it saying he appreciated Virat’s form. He also said that he was all ready to join the team soon. To this, Virat playfully responded saying he hoped AB de Villiers still possessed the same speed to run between the wickets as before.

And AB de Villiers did not let this go either and responded in a healthy competitive spirit. The South African cricketer proposed that they find out who is the faster one by racing the next day once they met as a team. While Virat will be an opening batsman for RCB in IPL 2021, both he and AB de Villiers will have to complete the mandatory quarantine period before they meet as a team.
