The “Perfect” singer Ed Sheeran revealed that his daughter also got Covid positive along with him. Ed’s Covid+ news comes just days before the release of his fourth studio album, which will be out on October 29.
Edward Christopher Sheeran is nearing the end of his two-week isolation after catching COVID-19. The 30-year-old musician, who is coronavirus-vaccinated, disclosed to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show that he contracted COVID while his wife Cherry Seaborn was overseas, and that his 15-month-old daughter Lyra was also afflicted.
‘Because my wife was away, I was alone with my daughter… It was kind of heavy because she had it, too,’ he told Stern, adding that the first three days were ‘very horrible.’
According to PEOPLE, he said, ‘It’s strange to receive [COVID-19] and then have to reveal it to the rest of the world… I’m still being treated as though I’ve had it’, Shape of You singer expressed himself. ‘I didn’t want to inform everyone, but I had to cancel three major events in England and didn’t want to insult anyone,’ Ed’s said.
Ed Sheeran, surprisingly, is returning to Studio 8H. The musician, who stated on Oct. 24 that he was in seclusion due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, announced on his Instagram early Tuesday morning, Nov.2, that he was out and about. Perfect singer, on the other hand, is due to perform as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live with first-time presenter Kieran Culkin on Saturday, Nov.6. This will be his third appearance on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest.

Meanwhile, Sheeran, whose fourth full-length album, ‘= (Equals),’ was released on Friday, was forced to cancel or reschedule a number of engagements, interviews, and concerts after testing positive for covid. Before the fourth album, ‘= (Equals),’ the singer released two tracks Bad Habits and Shivers. Shortly after their releases, both songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘Shivers’ reached No. 10 on the charts, while ‘Bad Habits’ reached No. 2. Also, Spotify ranked ‘Perfect’ singer the second most-streamed artist of the decade.
