BLACKPINK’s Lisa hits her Billboard Hot 100 debut with “Lalisa”

According to reports, Lisa’s solo music video “Lalisa” ranked number-84 on this week’s Hot 100 countdown. This marked it a part of the weekly rankings for the most popular tracks in the US.

Lisa, from the famous K-pop group BLACKPINK, very recently made her solo debut. With another huge success to her list of achievements, the solo has now made all the way to the prestigious Billboard list.

Friday was an important day for BLINKS aka fans of BLACKPINK as Lisa finally marked her solo debut. LALISA’ is a hip-hop track with bold and dashing compositions by 24, Bekuh Boom, and Teddy. The title expresses the power of Lisa’s name as it is based on Lisa’s birth name.

Lisa breaks records

According to reports, Lisa’s solo music video “Lalisa” ranked number-84 on this week’s Hot 100 countdown. This marked it a part of the weekly rankings for the most popular tracks in the US.

Apart from this, Lisa’s ‘Lalisa’ also achieved the second spot on the Global 200 and the Global Excl US chart of Billboard this week.

A new official record has been sent by Lisa on her very first album on YouTube. The music video only took 24 hours to surpass over 70 million views in real-time. The official view after YouTube confirmed this count on Monday with over 73.6 million views during the first 24 hour period of its release. It set the latest global record for the most views in 24 hours following a release of a solo artist. Taylor Swift’s previous record has been broken by Lisa ‘Lalisa’  in the same category. Taylor Swift’s  2019 track ‘ME!’ had recorded 65.2 million views within 24 hours.

BLACKPINK

South Korean girl group BLACKPINK  has made it to the Billboard charts multiple times. Before Lisa, it was group member Rosé who landed on the 70th spot on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list with her solo album ‘On The Ground’.

With their single album Square One, the K-pop quartet made its debut in August 2016. The tracks “Whistle” and “Boombayah” reached number one on the Gaon Digital List in South Korea and the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart in the United States, respectively.
