It was a goal that came directly from the football England had been playing for an hour. Direct, cohesive, built on collective movement. England were winning. The plan was working. It was a fundamentally different problem, and England attempted the same solution.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina got the space and the time they needed. Not a lot of either \u2014 the block held for most of those forty minutes. But Argentina are not a team that needs a lot of space. They need a couple of moments.
