Then, due to an injury, he was out of the Colombia Round of 16 and the Argentina quarter-final \u2014 the two biggest matches of Switzerland&#8217;s campaign, and precisely the moments when his ability to unlock a defensive block would have mattered most. Against Colombia in the Round of 16, he was outstanding across 120 goalless minutes, and then produced the penalty save from Cucho Hern\u00e1ndez at the crucial moment in the shootout \u2014 the save that sent Switzerland into the quarter-finals.
