His individual moments \u2014 sudden accelerations, the ability to take on defenders in tight spaces and come out the other side \u2014 have arrived at key points throughout Norway&#8217;s campaign. He and Haaland operate on a similar principle: efficiency over involvement. Both can change a match with a single touch. The reality is considerably more interesting. Martin \u00d8degaard&#8217;s midfield control is the engine that makes everything else possible. Norway, at their best, are genuinely adept at building possession, shifting the ball quickly from back to front, and suffocating stronger opponents by refusing to give up the ball cheaply.<\/p>\n<p>Against Brazil \u2014 a side built for high-tempo, expressive football \u2014 Norway were disciplined, organised, and surprisingly comfortable in possession for long stretches. They outmatched Brazil&#8217;s midfield quality for significant periods, moved through the thirds with purpose, and forced a side expected to dominate into frustration. \u00d8degaard&#8217;s ability to control the tempo of a match, to decide when Norway push and when they hold, is the hidden tactical weapon this team carries.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8rjan Nyland has been excellent in goal. He is not the most celebrated keeper in the tournament, but Norway&#8217;s defensive structure has been built around him \u2014 compact, organised, hard to breach in open play.
